Creamy Mac & Cheese
Creamy Mac & Cheese
Ingredients
250g macaroni
1 tin evaporated milk
250g Cheddar, grated
150g Parmesan, grated
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
A handful of dried breadcrumbs
Method
Cook the macaroni in a large saucepan of boiling salted water 10 minutes. Drain well and set aside.
Lightly sweat garlic and onions in butter.
Add this to the macaroni
Season with salt & pepper.
Add 100g of the Parmesan and all of the cheddar and mix thoroughly.
Transfer to a deep suitably-sized ovenproof dish.
Sprinkle over the remaining Parmesan and pour evaporated milk over.
Top with bread crumbs.
Place the dish under the hot grill. Cook until the cheese is browned and bubbling.
Serve straight away.
